This engagement session was special for many reasons, but the main one being that the groom to be is my brother.
Everyone has stories about meeting the love of their life in college, but not many can say it started with an elevator ride to their dorm rooms. It so happened that these two lived just six rooms away from each other. After getting off the elevator on the University of Georgia campus, they both later realized that they wouldn’t forget each other. Fast forward almost five years, and they are getting married.
Earlier this year, Grant and Claire made a trip out west for several months to hike, camp, and see as many sights as possible. So for their first of two engagement sessions, they wanted to do a hiking theme. Being an outdoors girl myself, I was excited to take on this challenge. We met at Cloudland Canyon State Park and started our trip down to the hiking trails and waterfalls. It such a gorgeous day for a shoot! It was such fun and we got some exercise :)
The second session took place the next evening on Lookout Mountain. We were able to get some really nice shots of them all dressed up. You could feel the love and devotion these two have for each other. They laughed most of the session and it just made my job so easy! And we couldn’t leave before capturing them with the gorgeous sunset.
I can’t wait for my brother’s wedding and am so excited for Claire to by my sister in law!
