Amy and Chris’s engagement session on Lookout Mountain in Chattanooga was so beautiful! I always love shooting in the outdoors, especially in Chattanooga in the spring. After talking with Amy about shooting her wedding, I learned that she and Chris met through a mutual friend. They are all rock climbers so in a way, they met through this same sport that they both love. They both enjoy hiking, and Chris actually proposed at Edward’s Point on Signal Mountain. They had their first date at this location, so it was the perfect place for Chris to pop the question!
Home improvement projects, finding cool restaurants and camping are just a few other things that they like to do together in their spare time. When we were planning on where to shoot their engagement photos, Amy and Chris definitely wanted to find a hiking trail around Chattanooga. I’m always up for a good hike, so I strapped on my boots and they led the way down the Glen Falls Trail on Lookout Mountain for their engagement session. Amy and Chris have hiked this trail numerous times, so they enjoy it every time they go!
There are so many gorgeous hiking spots for engagement photos, especially around the Chattanooga area. As a lover of the outdoors myself, I always enjoy when my couples choose a fun location – especially a trail that is special to them! You could tell how much love that Amy and Chris have for each other. We all talked and laughed together! They were up for all of my posing ideas, and they definitely had fun grabbing some photos next to the waterfall. I even got my feet wet too!
I can’t wait to shoot their wedding in July! Congratulations Amy and Chris!
