I’m super stoked to announce my first year for the Erin Bancroft Photography Superlative Awards! I had such an amazing year working with great families, seniors, and couples that I wanted to do something fun as a photographer to end this year with a bang! These are just some lighthearted awards I decided to give to my clients! Scroll down to see if your session was featured as a 2021 superlatives winner! Enjoy!
When the Harris family booked my fall mini session this year, I was so excited to meet them! As you can tell, this session was at the local apple orchard and the light was so incredible! And their two girls were just adorable! Their photos turned out so lovely!
For the first time this year, I planned Christmas PJ Mini Sessions. And I was lucky to have the Pratt Family book one of these sessions with me! They all looked so cute in their jammies and I couldn’t get over Charlie’s hair! Aren’t he and his older brother Oliver the absolute sweetest?!
Now granted, I only had one of these this year, but I can’t wait to do more in 2022! I had so much fun capturing photos for Kyndall and Isaac. We were planning on rain for that day, but the clouds opened up and we had beautiful spring light for this session. I talked with them both between locations about their high school activities and what they plan to do after graduation. Her dress was simply gorgeous! We even had people honking their horns while we were shooting 🙂
When Caroline contacted me about taking her son McRae’s senior photos in May, I was really excited for 3 reasons: she had picked me as their photographer after looking at others in the area, I hadn’t done a male senior session in several years, and the session took place at my high school alma mater. This high school was the brother to my sister high school and it holds a lot of fun memories. As we walked across campus for photo locations, I kept thinking back to the football games and dances and the good times I had when I was in high school. This session ending up being personally very special to me! Plus, it was my first session with my new Sigma 85mm 1.4 lens.
I had taken photos of the Johnson family a while back and absolutely loved meeting them and their son Gordy. So when they reached out for another family and maternity session this summer, I was excited to meet their daughter and take some photos of Charla as she was expecting their third child. They now have a beautiful baby girl! This session was definitely a warm one, but I loved all the candids we captured!
My son turned four years old in October, so I wanted to set up a special photo session for him. He likes airplanes and vehicles of transportation, so I contacted our local airfield and arranged for a photo session near the planes. We were able to shoot for an hour and they moved the plane wherever we wanted. We even got to watch some planes land and take off. We had a great time and the staff was very welcoming! My husband was even a little jealous, haha.
One of my families from last year contacted me about an extended family session for the day before Thanksgiving. I just loved capturing photos for this family and they have the cutest two boys. I was happy she wanted to book for me this session because she enjoyed her family photos last fall, but also I think for all of us, being with family during this strange time in our world is something we take for granted. Spending all the precious time we can with family is so important right now. I can’t share all of the photos from their extended family session, but here are a few of Kristen’s family to enjoy.
Sarah had just moved to Cleveland and wanted to schedule a family session, their first in a long time. All of her kids are almost grown and it was important for her capture some family photos. Sarah first found me on Instagram and then contacted me via my website. We had the best light for this session and I loved talking with her whole family and how they were enjoying being in Cleveland. I love meeting new clients and when they are as lovely as this family is, I really hope I can take photos for them again next year!
I had a blast capturing Paige’s Sweet Sixteen photos downtown last year. So when she and her mom contacted me about a senior session, I knew we had to make these photos fantastic! Since we did an urban style session last time, having a session outdoors at a tall field was definitely a must for the location! We laughed all during her shoot, especially when I share more of my embarrassing stories from high school. I have enjoyed watching Paige grow this past year. She is such a strong and confident young woman, and she is going to take the world by storm!
I was so excited when Kassi and Dalton reached out to me about shooting their wedding in March! I always offer a complimentary engagement session with any wedding package. I believe that every couple needs to practice before their special day with their wedding photographer so they will know how to pose. Most couples have never had a professional photo shoot. However, after we started taking photos at the botanical gardens, they were both so natural in front of the camera. We all kept laughing as I shared silly stories about my kids and why we all love Knoxville. Their wedding is going to be so pretty!
To everyone who booked a photo session with me this year, thank you so much! I can only do this job I love because of all of you!! From referrals, to following me on social media, and continuing to book photo sessions, I can’t tell how much I appreciate it! I’m so excited for what’s in store for 2022!
Happy Holidays and a healthy, prosperous Happy New Year to each of you!
