Abbie | Senior Session | Lee University

Abbie contacted me about shooting her college senior session at Lee University, I was so excited to capture this special time for her! When we started talking, she definitely knew what she wanted to do! Abbie is receiving a degree in Psychology and is already in the graduate program at Lee this fall for school counseling. We really need more good counselors in our schools! Abbie is originally from Johnson City and wanted to go to a Christian school for undergrad. When she visited Lee, she knew that it was the perfect place for her.

I remember graduating from college back in 2005. Yes, that was definitely a while ago, I know! But when I received my diploma and knew that I was done writing research papers and turning in projects, I was ready to take on the world! It definitely took me a while to figure out my path in life, but I eventually learned what I wanted to do.

It’s always fun to shoot a college senior session at Lee University’s campus! Every aspect of the grounds is so pretty! Before her session, we chatted about what kind of photos she wanted. Shooting in front of some flowering trees and at the Humanities building was on her must have list! She also wanted some fun creek images as well. Hint hint – if you are looking to get your feet wet, I am all for it! It ended up being a little windier than we anticipated, but the gorgeous weather made up for it!

One of Abbie’s favorite activities on campus was Propel Women, which helps female students on campus develop their leadership and potential. Abbie has also been a member of the psychology honor society, Psi Chi. She will miss the close knit community of students the most when she graduates. Her best advice for anyone going into their freshman year is to “do all the things”! Try out a lot of different activities and immerse yourself in the college experience.

Congratulations Abbie, Class of 2022! I can’t wait to see you take on the world!
