Fall Session at Home | The Greer Family | Chattanooga Portrait Photographer

You consider yourself lucky when you get to photograph the most adorable family.  But when that same family hires you again the next year to take pictures of their family again, you consider yourself blessed.

I had such a wonderful time shooting this family last fall. Their photos have literally been some of my favorite images I have ever taken. To watch children grow up each year and getting to document that for a family is such an amazing privilege because that family will be looking back on these photos when their children get older.

Their photos this year were extra special. We had talked about where they wanted to have their photos taken, and they decided on their home. This would be the last year they would be celebrating the fall season at this house. This is the first house that their children have lived in and they have had so many special memories here. When the pandemic began earlier this year, they were so grateful to have a spacious front and back yard for their children to play outside. Since they would be moving next year, they wanted to document this house and spend time where they are most happy with their kids.

Like any family session with young children, you just have to roll with whatever the kids decide to do! Sometimes you can catch the most adorable photos when you least expect it! This family has a swing hanging from a tree in their front yard, and I knew I wanted to grab some photos of the kids playing with it. I even got a cute shot of their dog, Gus! I love family pets! And as always, I sneak in some photos of just mom and dad 🙂

After the session, the family invited me to stay for some pizza! Building client relationships and friendships is so important to me, and I am so blessed that I get to capture photos of this family each year.
