The Harris Family was such a joy to photograph! We all had such a great time at their session, and I’m looking forward to watching their girls grow up and capture some more family memories for them next year!

I’ve been wanting to capture a couples session in Charleston, SC for as long as I can remember. I love reading about history and Charleston is at the top of my list of most interesting cities in our country. I have seen the exhibit with the H.L. Hunley, original Civil War submarine and been on some tours and ghost hunts in the past. We traveled to the area for our family summer vacation in September, and I was eager to explore the city again. It’s been a goal of mine to shoot downtown, on the cobblestone streets and really capture the charm of this gorgeous city. Fortunately, my cousin and her husband live and work in the area, and they excitingly agreed to be my models for this couples session.

After planning a vacation with our children the last two summers during a pandemic, I have learned a lot about where we can travel, which cities are the best, and the amount of activities that we can organize for them. My husband and I are vaccinated and wear our masks when in public places, but our kids are too young to receive the vaccine, let alone wear a mask. However, we still want to make memories as a family and we want to introduce our kids to new experiences. With some careful planning and helpful tips, you will be able to find a fun location for your next trip, even during a pandemic!
