Investing in yourself is one of the most important things you can do for your business! Whether that be continuing your education with courses or updating your website, making positive changes to your business is always a great idea! One of the things that I do as a photographer is get new branding photos at least once a year. So when my friend Olivia of Willow Tree Planning reached out about a branding session for her wedding planning business, I jumped at the chance to take new photos for her! If you keep up with my blog, I did an interview with her earlier this year all about what she does in her business.
I love connecting with other wedding vendors where I live! Creating professional relationships in your field is essential, especially if you are looking to book more clients. I get a lot of my work from referrals! Olivia is a great wedding planner where we live, helping brides with their special day! Charlotte, her assistant came as well so we could get photos for the both of them.
Olivia enjoys being a wedding planner because she simply loves her job! The flexibility for her is valuable so she can do this job and spend quality time with her family. Olivia believes in kindness, honesty and the quote, “If you fail to prepare, prepare to fail”. She loves working with kind and organized brides who are willing to go with the flow. She appreciates couples who trusts her and her skills to do this job.
Olivia named her company Willow Tree Planning because willow trees are strong, but flexible. The roots of a willow tree are deep in the ground, so when a storm comes, the tree may bend and sway. Ultimately, the tree stands firm and strong to withstand the storm. One of Olivia’s goals is to help her couples feel calm during their wedding day. The planning process should be stress-free and give brides one less thing to worry about.
Olivia herself had a budget conscious wedding. She knows that having a budget friendly wedding doesn’t have to look like a “Pinterest DIY fail”. Having a beautiful wedding with a lower budget in mind can be done along with meeting the client’s expectations.
We started her branding session at Lasater’s Coffee in downtown Cleveland. After some fun photos there, I got some shots of both of them walking downtown along the shops and locally owned clothing stores. In addition to some head shots, Olivia and I went to the local college campus and got some photos of her setting up a sweetheart table. I love to take photos of just the business owner, but it’s also important to showcase what they do so potential clients can see their work. I took photos of her arranging items and captured her as if she were setting up a wedding reception.
This was such a fun branding session! I can’t wait to do more of these! If you are looking for a kind, hard working and fun wedding planner to make sure your special goes smoothly, reach out to Olivia so you can start sharing ideas! She will do an amazing job and make your wedding day look beautiful!
And if you are interested in this type of session, no matter what line of business you are in, send me an email! It’s never too late to invest in your business with personalized branding photos!
