My Favorite Reasons to Shoot Senior Photos in Downtown Chattanooga
It’s amazing to see how the city of Chattanooga has grown over the last 35 years! Once a town with the some of the worst air pollution in the country, where you didn’t walk downtown after 8 PM, the city has blossomed! A lot of entrepreneurs move here to start businesses, and families love the outdoor activities that Chattanooga has to offer. The downtown area has a lot of fun restaurants, hotels and areas of public art that is enjoyed by all. I love shooting photo sessions here, especially high school seniors. I’m sharing my favorite reasons to shoot your senior photos in downtown Chattanooga!
Many Locations in One Place
The great thing about shooting in downtown Chattanooga is that there are a lot of pretty locations but all in one place! The West Village for example is a small area downtown that boasts fun shops, restaurants, locally owned businesses, and unique hotels. This two block radius near the Westin has many spots to take senior photos, but are all within walking distance of each other. You can shoot in front of a hotel, neon restaurant sign, an alley filled with colorful umbrellas, and twinkling lights all while keeping your car parked in one location the entire time! You can also capture the sunset in your photos on the top of a parking garage nearby!
Lots of Variety
When you plan your senior photos in downtown Chattanooga, you can guarantee that you’ll gets a lot of variety! Depending on where you are downtown, you can choose from multiple backgrounds and spots. You can actually have your first set of photos taken among some green leaves and then have your next set of photos taken in front of tall buildings and public art sculptures. No matter what kind of senior session you want, or if you want a combination, you will find both nature and urban spots in the city!
Show Off Your Favorite Outfits
Everyone has their own personal style when it comes to clothes! Maybe you like to wear more of a preppy style with white jeans, a button down, and wedges, or you’re more into a black mini skirt, tall lace up boots and a Van Halen t-shirt. Whatever outfit you like to wear, your style is perfect for senior photos downtown! I like to think of the city as a neutral background where, depending on what kind of clothes you favor, you can make your senior photos unique and special! Choose a bright pink mini dress with some cute shoes and pose on the sidewalk. You could also wear a ripped pair of jeans with sandals and a tank top, sitting on a park bench. Remember that this senior session is all about you and showing off your personality and accomplishments!
