Micayla’s Senior Portraits at Raccoon Mountain
Fall in Chattanooga is always magical, and Micayla’s senior portraits at Raccoon Mountain were no exception. She loves the outdoors! With the crisp autumn air, golden leaves, and mountain views, it was the perfect backdrop for celebrating her final year of high school!
Micayla describes herself as outgoing, passionate, and genuine, and those qualities came through effortlessly in front of the camera. She was an absolute natural! From the moment we started shooting, her warm, infectious smile lit up the entire session. She was up for any fun pose I suggested! Micayla’s favorite feature is her smile, and it was clear why! It radiated confidence and joy in every photo!
Between shots along the mountain road lined with trees, we chatted about her love for volleyball, spending time outdoors (which we both love!), and her favorite book, A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder. Some of her best high school memories include homecoming week and, of course, time spent playing volleyball! Micayla is really tall and athletic, so I’m positive that she was a valuable member of her team. It was so much fun capturing images that reflected both her personality and this exciting season of life.
One of the things she mentioned loving about my work is the way clients always look comfortable in photos. That’s something I prioritize in every session. My goal is to create an experience that feels natural, relaxed, and true to who you are. For her, the vision was clear: a nature setting with mountains, colorful fall leaves, and winding roads, and Raccoon Mountain delivered all of that and more. It’s a popular spot for many of my clients, especially in the fall.
Micayla is planning to attend Mississippi University for Women to study nursing, and I know her determination and genuine heart will carry her far.
Capturing senior portraits is about more than just photos; it’s about telling the story of who you are in this last chapter of high school. Sessions like this one remind me why I love being a senior photographer!
