Lauren Grace & Emma Kate’s Sister Session | Raccoon Mountain
The love between sisters is a relationship like no other. From the day you are born to the day you start showing gray hair, having a sister is having a best friend for life. There is lifelong companionship and support from each other, which forms a bond that can’t be replicated by anyone else. Lauren Grace and Emma Kate wanted to document their family relationship with a sister session on Raccoon Mountain!
I have known the Choplin Family well over the last two years. They contacted me about two years ago to take Lauren Grace’s senior photos. Since then, the family has reached out for other sessions, including a couples session with Lauren Grace and her boyfriend. I have never shot a sister session before, so I was excited to capture these one-of-a-kind photos for them!
One of my most popular locations for sessions is Raccoon Mountain. It has beautiful scenic views of the area and is lovely in any season. Lauren Grace and Emma Kate brought two outfits, one dressy and the other casual. They also both wore matching rings that celebrate their sisterhood with each other. We had to compete a little with the traffic, as it was a pretty fall day, so everyone was out enjoying the weather. I love how their pictures turned out!
No matter what type of session I shoot, I have all my clients fill out a questionnaire so I can learn more about them. I already knew about Lauren Grace, but not Emma Kate or what they would say when asked questions about each other. You can tell by their answers that they share a strong bond, admire each other for their different qualities, and hope to keep their relationship going as they age.
Lauren Grace said of Emma Kate that they have always been extremely close and would always spend time together no matter what they were doing. They loved being kids when they played outside, built forts, and made mud pies. One of her favorite memories is sitting, talking, and laughing together. She said that Emma Kate has a loving heart for God. She’s brave, caring, smart, and funny. Lauren Grace and she are best friends, partners in crime, soulmates, and her other half. She hopes their mutual love of God and each other will continue through the years. Here’s to more adventures and memories together!
Emma Kate loved playing outside on the trampoline and being silly together as kids. They pulled all-nighters, were goofy, and loved watching the sunrise and sunset. She can always count on Lauren Grace as they go through life together. Emma Kate trusts and confides in her and is thankful and blessed that God let them be sisters. If she had to describe Lauren Grace in three words, she’d choose Godly, determined, and hardworking. She looks forward to continuing their strong relationship and making more funny memories.
