Paige | Sweet Sixteen | Chattanooga Senior Photographer

I have been wanting to shoot a session in downtown Chattanooga, so when Mindy contacted me about shooting a sweet sixteen session for her daughter Paige, I was super excited to schedule her photos for an urban setting! And to top it off, Mindy was more than happy to take some behind the scenes photos and videos of the session! Paige is an absolute sweetheart, an amazing volleyball player and she was so much fun to shoot! We all talked and laughed about everything. I am looking forward to taking her senior photos next year!

I had already scouted out some locations and knew where we were going to shoot, so when we met up, we headed first to Umbrella Alley. We had to get a little creative here since there were some Christmas decorations, but my goal was to include the hanging umbrellas in the photos and they turned out so pretty!

We then moved on to shoot on the sidewalk and these turned out to be my favorites from the whole session. Even though we were shooting in December, some of the trees still had their leaves and it made for some pretty color! As we moved along the street, we took every opportunity to use benches, fencing, street props and stairs to get kind of every angle we could for shots.

One photography tip to remember is that as the light starts to drop, you can always head to higher ground and use the light as long as you can before it completely sets. So we headed to the top of the parking garage for the last ten minutes of light behind the mountain and grabbed some shots! I think from now on, scheduling some shots in this kind of location, is a must have for any sweet sixteen or senior session! How pretty these turned out! And Paige is an absolute natural!

I didn’t think I would enjoy shooting a session outdoors in December, but I loved it! I can’t wait to do more! Enjoy these photos from Paige’s session!
