Behind every great brand is a person with a really good reason for doing what they love. For Wendy of Healthy Resolutions, that reason is simple: her patients deserve better. That includes better access, better care, and better time with their provider. From the moment we started planning, it was clear this wasn’t just about great photos. It was about telling the story of a brand built around genuine, patient-first care. We had good, relaxed vibes, great light, and Wendy’s session showed that she is doing something truly special in the world of healthcare. It was my absolute honor to help bring that mission to life through her telemedicine branding session in Chattanooga!
Wendy is a nurse practitioner with a clear and deeply personal mission: to give her patients the time and attention they deserve. In a healthcare landscape where corporate systems often push providers to see as many patients as possible, Wendy made a different choice. She has been a nurse practitioner for other practices in the past, but decided it was time to make a change.
Her friend and the founder of Healthy Resolutions, Colleen, started this business because she believes in putting patients first. Weight loss and wellness are personal matters and not based on decisions normally made by a large subscription company. They provide local care in Connecticut and New York, but are also available for telemedicine appointments. Patients work only with a provider and never with any kind of chatbot. Because Healthy Resolutions is provider-owned and puts patients first, the company works with your schedule, based on your convenience.
This philosophy shows up in every part of how Healthy Resolutions operates. It was their goal by hiring me for this branding session that their mission and purpose would be represented through Wendy’s photoshoot.
We scheduled Wendy’s session at the Collective Photo Studio in north Georgia, just a short drive from Chattanooga. I love shooting in this space, and it gave us exactly what we needed for clean and professional portraits. We started the shoot using the white infinity wall to capture Wendy’s headshots in her element. Dressed in her pink scrubs and a white medical coat, clipboard and stethoscope in hand, Wendy personified the confident, approachable healthcare professional she is. Wearing a warm color like soft pink is a strong choice without sacrificing a sense of clinical professionalism.
For her next outfit, we chose a light beige pair of pants and a blazer, along with a soft blue blouse. We took photos with my favorite prop I own, my hairpin leg white desk. Wendy sat in front with her iPad, along with a clipboard and stethoscope on top, and some books and desk accessories. We set it up to make it look like she was working. We even included some “coffee” shots since that’s what she drinks in the morning.
Our last setup for branding photos was on the couch with Wendy wearing a sleeveless v-neck jumpsuit. As it was my goal to create images that were similar to Colleen’s own branding session, this was a perfect outfit. (I actually bought myself one, too!) Taking pictures of Wendy in a more personal setting showed that even though she works in the medical field, she takes a calm, patient, but professional approach to working with her patients.
When speaking with Colleen before the session, her goal for Wendy’s pictures was to show similar energy, poses, and warmth so that each picture on the website looked like it came from the same photographer. Being consistent with branding photos is important as it builds trust between the potential patient and the provider before an appointment is ever made.
I can’t believe the response from Colleen and her website designer when they said, “Holy smokes, these images are amazing!” This type of genuine reaction is what every photographer hopes for after a session. Once I saw Wendy’s images added to the Healthy Resolutions website, I knew that our goal had been accomplished. Their brand came through beautifully, and I’m looking forward to watching Colleen and Wendy continue to build this amazing healthcare company.
